We at FRIDA hold a strong belief in social responsibility - commitment to and support for the local community. We as a business believe the benefits of our community involvement allow us to have a well-educated staff, a positive work environment, and allow us to see the community in which we live and do business thrive.
FRIDA strives to keep our carbon footprint as low as economically possible. We have a comprehensive waste program that includes recycling and composting. We also donate all of our hair clippings to Matter of Trust, a non-profit organization that recycles hair into hair mats that absorb and contain off shore oil spills. Because of these measures we produce less than 2 bags of garbage per week, a remarkably low amount of waste for a hair salon. We use eco-friendly cleaning products and laundry detergent, manage our water usage and utilize phosphate-free hair products.
